We should connect to the Almighty Strength Of God

Stacks Image 147
Are you feeling weary? Are you in need of a refuge and a strength that goes beyond our own?"
In recent worship services, we were exploring the timeless and powerful topic: “The Strength of the Lord.”
"We discovered together what it means to find our strength in God, especially when we feel we have none left to give. It's a message of hope and renewal for everyone."
Psalm 28:7 says, "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me." Letting go and trusting in God is a great source of strength. We must be willing to admit we can’t go it alone, but with God’s support we can overcome difficult challenges.
Psalm 18:2 reminds us how God protects us: "The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."
Isaiah 12:2 says:
"Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.”

BELIEVE IN THE UNBELIEVABLE

The following 16 minute video is entitled, "Believe In The Unbelievable." The Bible is filled with many seemingly unbelievable stories, but Christians know these stories in the Bible are all true. Christians don't doubt the veracity of Jesus walking on the water, performing miracles and being resurrected from the dead. This sermon by Nick Rapheal was first presented at the Luna Lane Church of Christ.

There is no right way to do a wrong thing.
Seneca, First Century Roman Philosopher

There is no right way to do a wrong thing. No matter how much we try to justify unGodly actions, we do not have the power to change the writings in scripture. The Bible is still the only reliable source for how we should conduct ourselves and how we should treat one another.

We are Christians who are striving to serve the Lord.

Our goal is to please God, and we believe the best way to do that is to follow the pattern that was established by the churches in the first century and revealed through God's inspired word in the New Testament.
We have no creed or doctrine except the Bible and we follow the Bible only. We strive for unity in the teaching of New Testament doctrine.
Our congregation is not part of, or subject to, any larger man-made religious organization. We are a completely autonomous congregation. We are locally governed, just like the Church of the first century.

We're all about giving the glory to God! When something wonderful and amazing happens we often say, "It's a God Thing." In fact, we've placed these words on the wall of our Church auditorium to remind us all good and perfect gifts come from above.
